Casual violence

Violence as the setting's ordinary weather rather than as an event. Weapons come out over trivia, bystanders are maimed or killed in passing, and nothing on screen pauses for any of it. The claim is not that one character is dangerous but that the place is, so nobody needs a motive beyond living there.
