- Mehemet Bey, an Egyptian priest posing as a Massachusetts cemetery caretaker, sends the mummy Kharis to strangle an archaeologist's family as tomb-vengeance. Smitten with the hero's fiancee, he has the monster abduct her so she can bear an heir as a high priest's bride.
