The Palestinians on screen are guerrilla fighters: when one brother falls in the armed struggle, the next takes up his place. Even an Israeli doctor who goes to the camps out of conscience to ease the suffering meets hostility from the militants there, and the film closes with that hostility costing both his life and the life of the man he had saved.
