- Ancient Egypt is ruled through treachery and drugs: Queen Smedes murders the Pharaoh, keeps the boy-king in a drugged stupor, and plies love potions, while the heroine is nearly sold as a slave. The Egyptians cannot free themselves; liberation arrives with the muscleman outsider Maciste.
