- Though set in fourth-century-BC Lydia, the film uses Bedouin as its stock bandits: hired knifemen ambush Princess Cory and her maidens, massacre ambassadors on order, and haul captive women to a slave auction under a black-robed Bedouin's whip as Arab music plays. The son of Hercules cuts down about a dozen of them in the opening rescue.
