- The villain Men-Hari is an Eastern occultist of the lost city of Kuma who telepathically enslaves a young European woman and drags her across the desert as an offering, scheming to seize immortality and rule the world; the local mystic who tries to free her is destroyed by ritual - the Oriental sorcerer as mind-controlling menace.
