- Andoheb, Cairo museum Egyptologist and secret high priest of Karnak, is the treacherous Egyptian at the center: he deceives the archaeologists, then wakes the tongueless mummy Kharis with tana brew to strangle them one by one, beginning with Dr. Petrie and the overseer Ali.
