The Mask of Fu Manchu (1932)

The Middle East enters this Fu Manchu picture only as tinder: the villain's scheme is to seize Genghis Khan's sword and mask and use them to rouse Muslim lands along with the rest of Asia into a war of extermination against white people. The region's populations figure as a faceless fanatic mass, presumed ready to rise and slaughter at a relic-bearer's signal.
