- At the Blue Fez, a nightclub run by the hookah-smoking tycoon Hakim, Arab women appear only as near-naked waitresses and bellydancers; when Hakim claps, three dancers hurry over so he can tuck cash into their bikini tops. None of them speaks, and the sequence ends with the Bogart-lookalike detective flattening Hakim's hulking turbaned doorman.
