- Sheikh Yousef Abdul and his bandits massacre a party of peaceful Englishmen, having earlier abducted the Englishwoman Shafia, who is shot down when she flees to warn the victims; years later Yousef drugs the hero's wine and seizes the maiden Leila, and the hero, an English survivor raised by Arabs as 'Lion El-Din,' storms the camp and kills the sheikh.
