  • Its women are prizes to be taken: the Caliph's daughter Dinarsade is demanded as payment for a magic horse, a bevy of maidens squabbles over the prince's attention, and the heroine Pari Banu is captured by Achmed after her clothes are withheld, then abducted by the sorcerer and sold to the Chinese Emperor.
