- The ancient Egyptian kingdom of Khemis runs on slavery and palace treachery: a slave revolt kills the king, courtiers betray the young queen Naila, and she is captured and enslaved herself. The Egyptian court is a nest of plots, and its heroine spends the film as chattel awaiting rescue.
