- The Palestinian character Kassem is introduced by his crime: a prologue vignette of militants bombing the area near Jerusalem's Damascus Gate and fleeing the Israeli army. Terrorism is the entirety of his backstory, the Palestinian counterpart to the other fugitives' contract killing, fraud, and robbery.
