- The desert is carved up by warring Bedouin tribes: the heroine is captured by the lustful Rasoul, thrown into a leopard pit by the cruel Lord Beg, and claimed as a bride by Sheikh Jaffar, the 'good' Arab whose method of rescue is to marry the American woman he has desired from afar.
