- Egypt is played entirely as a comic land of looted tombs and mummy's curses: the expedition digs into King Pharatime's tomb dogged by threatening notes and curse talk, yet actual Egyptians barely exist on screen beyond a lurking spy, and the killer proves to be an American in the party.
