- The serial's resident Arab is Sheik Mustapha, an Arab chief written for a robed Boris Karloff: an oily schemer sitting on both the proof that could clear the fugitive hero and the whereabouts of a hidden diamond mine, knowledge he treats as leverage. He is the chapter-play's stock treacherous desert potentate.
