- Israeli commandos disguise themselves as Bedouin to slip into Sinai after King Solomon's scrolls, talking their way past armed tribesmen with a phony story about cholera and laughing at how easily they are fooled; Bedouin later return as killers, wiping out five of the six Israelis. The opening Beersheba souk, with its donkey cart and Arabic score, presents the Arab setting as primitive.
